Does MPI Accept Donations of Other Things?
MPI may accept limited specific donations of humanitarian aid designated for overseas ministries. Due to shipping difficulties, new overseas regulations, and other constraints, MPI cannot accept large bulk donations of humanitarian aid items. Please refer to MPI’s MPI’s Humanitarian Aid Policy for more information.
Can Donations Be Directed?
Yes! As long as you designate your gift for someone or something that MPI is currently supporting, you can donate to any worker or project. Just specify the name of the person or the project (ie Sponsor-a-Pastor) on the cheque, response card, or during your phone call with us.
Donations directed to overseas workers will be put towards their monthly financial support. All donations towards a particular project will be held until the total amount needed for that project has been raised. Once the financial goal for a particular project has been reached, MPI reserves the right to allocate additional funds to the most urgent need at that time.
How Much Goes Towards What I Designate?
MPI sends 100% of all designations overseas. Some overseas costs to manage and deliver the funds will be deducted from designated gifts.
Will I Receive a Tax Receipt for Donations?
Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10.00. Mission Partners issues tax receipts at year-end, however, you can choose to receive your tax receipt at the time of your donation. Simply let us know this is what you would like.
Are Tax Receipts Issued for Other Donations?
Gift in Kind receipts may be issued for some limited material goods donated to MPI. These can be purchased and donated, along with a valid receipt of purchase provided to MPI at the time of the donation. You may request our pamphlet on Gifts in Kind for further details.
What if I Lose my Charitable Receipt?
If you lose or cannot find your income tax receipt, please write, call, or e-mail and we will endeavor to issue you a duplicate receipt. Contact MPI

Does MPI Send Mission Teams Overseas?
Each year, MPI may send mission teams to the former Soviet Union to do various tasks. Many of these teams are open to all individuals (general qualification), and others are limited by the specific qualifications needed to conduct certain tasks during some mission team trips. Does MPI work in Asia or Africa?
MPI was created as an agency to facilitate Canadians and Americans to help people and churches in the countries formerly part of the Soviet Union in this post Soviet Era. Our focus has always been primarily in Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. For a brief time, MPI was helping Ukrainian Bible School graduates who felt called to the mission field in post Soviet, Russian speaking countries in Central Asia. MPI has since ceased to work Central Asia.
MPI does receive numerous requests from Pastors and christians in various countries in Asia and Africa requesting Pastors Support and invitations to attend the annual Pastors Leadership Conference et cetera. Unfortunately, our mandate does not allow us to work outside our primary, post Soviet era countries.
