How did MPI begin helping Seniors?

In December of 1998, Ron met Dr Irina, a medical doctor with a vision and a heart for the elderly, widows and shut-ins in the Kiev area. Although she already operated a medical clinic in her local church, Dr Irina began a special program soon dubbed “the Mercy Ministry” to provide food, clothing, home care, medicine and Christian love to these seniors.

Ron was so touched by the desperate need of the elderly all around the former Soviet Union, he felt deeply that MPI needed to be involved with this ministry. Since that time, with MPI’s help, Dr Irina and the mercy workers have helped hundreds of seniors and poverty stricken families. Many lives have been saved from unsanitary living conditions, life threatening health problems, starvation, and suicide.
