Ron Garrison – Founder and Executive Director
Ron Garrison was born in Nova Scotia. When he was young, his family moved to Toronto, Ontario looking for better opportunities. He came to know Jesus as his personal Saviour after a friend from work witnessed to him and brought him to a church in Toronto. Soon after, Ron felt the Lord leading him to pursue full time ministry by becoming a Pastor.
Rev. Garrison is now an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. For nineteen years he has pastored churches in Western Ontario. The last church Ron pastored was in London. The church quickly became tri-lingual, with a congregation made up of English, Spanish, and Russian speaking people with services in all three languages. While pastoring this church, Ron was approached by a Ukrainian pastor to help some Slavic families from the USSR emigrate.
After seeing several of these families settle into his church, one brother urged Ron to travel back to the Soviet Union with him in August, 1991. While on that trip, God began to move on Ron’s heart to work more with Slavic people. Soon after, Ron decided to leave pastoring to work full time ministering to the people of the former Soviet Union, otherwise known as the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
