Pray

More than anything else, we need your prayers. Nothing goes further in the Kingdom of God than time spent in earnest prayer. Many dedicated leaders ministering overseas have told us that they are grateful for all the prayers spoken on their behalf by faithful Christians in Canada.

As a new year is just beginning, please take some time to pray for MPI’s ministry partners in Ukraine and Belarus. Throughout the year, they endeavour to fulfil their ministry by reaching out to help the lost and needy. Pray for renewed wisdom, strength, and opportunities. Pray that each leader and ministry will continue to have the ability to reach out and effect change in the lives of Children and Seniors in need. Remember that the scriptures say that ‘…the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

Prayer requests for February 2012

  1. Please pray for the people of Ukraine and Belarus. This part of eastern Europe is facing the coldest, most severe winter in 50 years. MPI workers from Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine have contacted us within the last few days to tell us about the severe weather (ie the schools have been closed for the last two weeks). This weather is expected to persist until the end of February.
  2. Pray the children of Andrei and Tamila Shander in Kiev, Ukraine. Their health is very poor and they suffer from recurring infections.
    • Pray that the Lord would heal them of these infections.
    • Pray that their bodies would be strong enough to resist these infections before they become ill.

  3. Pray for Pastor Vasily (in Smela, Ukraine) who is suffering from a heart problem. His doctors cannot operate because of ongoing Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C infections.
    • Pray that the Lord would heal and restore his heart to perfect health
    • Pray that the Hepatitis infections are healed

  4. Pray for the daughter of one of the Pastors that MPI sponsors in Belarus. His daughter fell out of a window last fall and is now paralyzed.
    • Pray that this family is able to pull together spiritually and emotionally
    • Pray that this daughter is healed (Isa 53:5)
