Pastors Leadership Conferences
Sound Biblical teaching was a challenge for Christians during the years of soviet communism. As Bibles, and other Christian literature were banned, and Bible schools illegal, Christians became isolated and it was difficult to obtain solid biblical teaching. Today, with churches being planted so quickly and many pastors having little or no formal Bible School training, there is a great need for Leadership Conferences where Canadian Pastors can sow into the lives of Ukrainian pastors using their knowledge and years of pastoral experience. MPI holds a annual 4 day conference in Ukraine paying for all the accommodations, meals and rental of the conference facilities for more than 120 Ukrainian pastors. Developing friendships with and among these pastors, and having the opportunity each year for fellowship along with a time for rest is another important facet of the conference.
MPI’s Commitment
MPI’s commitment to the annual conference is to completely pay for the conference, all rentals, all accommodations, and all meals. We also endeavour to bring experienced Canadian pastors with us to teach in the sessions and workshops, and supply the Ukrainian pastors with teaching notes from each Canadian speaker. As an added blessing we also seek to provide extras such as clothing, computers, Christian evangelistic tracts and other resource materials, and church startup/development tools.
Canadian Pastors at the Conference
Each year MPI delights in taking two Canadian pastors with us to teach at the conference. These pastors have the opportunity to sow into the lives and ministries of the Ukrainian pastors during the general sessions and the more relaxed setting of the workshops. Being available for one-on-one counselling and interaction with the pastors between sessions adds to the overall effectiveness of the Canadian’s ministry.
